It is a good day for the Oracle products availability – would the upcoming Open World conference starting on Sunday in San Francisco have anything to do with this? Earlier today I told you about the immediate availability of Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0 – I just heard about the production release of the Oracle SOA Suite Release 10.1.3!. That means that we now have the Oracle Enterprise Service Bus at our disposal for production use, bundled with Oracle BPEL PM 10.1.3 and the Oracle Web Services Manager.

I have been working with the preview that has been available for some time now, and I am very enthousiastic. Together with JDeveloper 10.1.3.1, we have a very productive, easy to work with IDE for creating and deploying BPEL processes and Service in the Enterprise Service Bus. Using the adapters to connect to various external systems and technologies is very easy. The IDE is attractive and appealing to look at and to work with. The more advanced support for the Worklist Application (Workflow) is also a big help. All in all, many reasons to download and start playing with the SOA Suite.

Go to http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/webservices/index.html to download this 10.1.3 release. It’s 570 Mb, not too bad.
