0 In March 2006, NL-JUG (the Netherlands Java Users Group) and Sun Microsystems
organized a University Session about GlassFish. Now, two years later, GlassFish
has evolved into much more than just an Open Source application server for Java
EE5. Using add-ons like OpenSSO, Hudson, Metro and OpenESB, GlassFish becomes a
robust and highly scalable application server for Java EE5, continuous
integration, SOA and BPEL.
GlassFish
On May 22, 2008, Alexis Moussine-Pouchkine, Java Architect at Sun Microsystems
in France and GlassFish Evangelist, will present GlassFish and some of the
features mentioned above. After a general overview of OpenSSO, Hudson and
OpenESB which will include some demos, Alexis will give a detailed display of
OpenESB and JBI (Java Business Integration).
AMIS
Next, Wouter van Reeven, Java Developer at AMIS and Open Source adept, will
present NetBeans 6.1 and it’s integration with GlassFish and OpenESB. After a
short introduction into SOA and BPEL, Wouter will explain and demo how to build
BPEL applications for GlassFish and OpenESB using NetBEans 6.1.
