Per request of General Electric Plastics for which we participate in a systems integration project, AMIS goes India in order to deliver a SOA Suite introduction training for Genpact employees in the city of Hyderabad.....

Genpact is majority owned by General Electric and participates heavily in the roll-out of Oracle 11i business applications at General Electric Plastics. AMIS helps General Electric Plastics and Genpact with the implementation of Oracle SOA Suite as the generic Middleware that integrates Oracle 11i with other business applications.

Here is the training schedule:

As the schedule shows, focus is on the use of Oracle BPEL Process Manager and Oracle’s Enterprise Service Bus.

Oracle is also involved, delivering a SOA Suite Roadmap overview. Next to that, Oracle will introduce and demonstrate the Oracle Applications integration adapters.

Best regards from sunny and warm Hyderabad!

  1. Here’s a conference that should definitely be of interest to you! First of its kind, the conference, brought to you by SDA India Magazine and sda-india.com, covers Java, Eclipse, Enterprise Architectures, SOA, Web Services, Software Testing, and Project Management, to the Indian Enterprise IT community. It’s on from the 28th to the 31st of May at the J N Tata Auditorium, IISc, Bangalore, India. You can find more information here:

  2. Hi Lucas. It is indeed a promising schedule, targeted at GE business needs. As you know there is a lot more to SOA and Oracle SOA Suite, but the schedule is packed already ;-). I am surely glad Peter and Aino provided extremely useful material, e.g. for the XML introduction and the Cross Reference Tables & XSLT stuff. It would be great to further develop this training and deliver it to others, clearly a responsibility of our SOA Expert group.

  3. Sjoerd,

Good to see you have arrived safely. The schedule looks very promising. I take it we will soon be offering a course like this in The Netherlands as well? Good luck with your adventure. I am looking forward to all the stories. See you next week.

    Lucas
