"Almost" Oracle Open World again…
AMIS, represented via Peter Ebell, Lucas Jellema and me (Marco Gralike), entered several abstracts for this years Oracle Open World Conference. Probably to our surprise, all of those were honored, and we are in the "luxurious" position to do our best on 7 presentations regarding various topics, like Cloud Computing, Oracle Coherence, building solutions via Oracle ADF Faces, 11gR2 features, XML DB, Oracle WebCenter and SOA…
I am also up/in for it again, although my fears about "Please! Not on Sunday Again ("Jet lag")…! ", became true… Both my sessions will be on Sunday. My first session will be in the Hilton Hotel at 11:45 and the next one on that day will be in Moscone at 15:30 hours. Grrr…
I really hope the Hilton Hotel has less "pillars" than the Marriott Hotel this year… I can’t imagine that it was much fun for those that attended that session on Sunday in 2008, which was completely booked (90+ attendees…) and had (if I remember correctly) 5 of those massive concrete posts across the room.
The only thing that probably will help to calm my nerves is to prep the best I can. 🙂
That’s why I also, via this blog post, want to ask if there are other Dutchies out there that are presenting during Oracle Open World and want to do a "Preview" session like the one we did in 2008. This Dutch Oracle Open World 2008 Preview session as we called it at that time, at least helped me, to get some of that stage fright under control…
So if you are having a presentation slot for Oracle Open World this year and want to practice on the AMIS premises via this set-up aka "the Dutch OOW Preview" session give me a "call" via marco[dot]gralike[at]amis[dot]nl and I will try to create an agenda (and the pizza’s and refreshments etc)…

"No, I do not know about "launch date’s" so you don’t have to ask and "No, this event will not have Oracle 11gR2 presentations".
