You want to build it with ADF, but you do not want it to look like ADF. What do you do? (come to S290737 during OOW2007)

Well, at the very least come to my presentation Building Real Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF) Applications: A Learning Experience at OOW next week:  S290737, Thursday 4.00pm (Moscone South 300). One of the things I will tell you is how we created this carefully, tailor-designed and attractive User Interface that you see here:

You want to build it with ADF, but you do not want it to look like ADF. What do you do? (come to S290737 during OOW2007) makeover2

was created from its functional equivalent, this fairly dull ADF Faces BLAF style application:....

Not surprisingly it takes a bit of ADF Faces Skinning, some CSS work, a whisker of JavaScript and one or two custom JSF Components. But you get the end users jumping up and down with excitement. I have never made them more happy than with an application that does the same but looks so much better! And it is not all that difficult to do.

In this talk, I will tell you about three real life projects and the challenges we encountered – and overcame. It is a great chance to end the conference on a high note, so I hope you will be there.
