ADF 12.1.3 (& JDeveloper 12.1.3) New Features

June 26th – Release Day for Fusion Middleware 12.1.3. The focus is mainly on SOA Suite 12c and WebLogic 12.1.3. An interesting new release is also JDeveloper 12.1.3 together with ADF 12.1.3. This latest release of the FMW IDE and the strategic development framework has a number of interesting new features to offer. Some highlights:

  • ADF DVT – client side charts with smooth, fast interaction, zooming, scaling, focus; also: diagram component (for visualizing nodes and dependencies in many creative ways), custom base maps in thematic map, new gauges, the ability to rotate markers on thematic maps, ability to hide the base map in thematic maps, circular progress meter, and more (see this article with DVT details: https://technology.amis.nl/2014/06/26/adf-12-1-3-highlights-in-data-visualization-dvt/)

  • improved REST services support
  • the new ADF Deck component – to create a deck with one or more cards; each card supporting nice transitions (fade, slide, ..)
