I am not sure into which problems you are running. You should be able to change a session’s edition – however not in the middle of a transaction. What exactly are you doing and what is happening?

I just started to review this option and it looks really useful for our eBS (for our customization,i.e. our PLSQL packages)
I thought I could use it for online application upgrade and avoid ORA-04061
However,I have a problem with connected sessions. It seems that I cant change the edition of a connected session .
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rudi
