Latest ADF 11g (11.1.1.1.0) Rich Client Demo is available

Today I came across a brief post on the OTN Forum for JDeveloper and ADF (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=923587&tstart=0). The latest demo application (11.1.1.1.0) for ADF 11g Faces RC can be downloaded from http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/jdeveloper/111/extensions/adf-richclient-demo.war. It comes as a WAR file that can be deployed on WebLogic 11g.

Rapid development of Rich JSF Web applications on top of EJB/JPA persistence (JSF on Rails – Demo 1)

Here you will find the first demo from my Devoxx 2008 presentation. It shows how you can rapidly create a rich web application based on Java Server Faces and EJB/JPA persistency using JDeveloper 11g and the ADF 11g framework. The presentation included below shows the steps one by one to create a rich web application. The JDeveloper 11g application can be downloaded as well. The end result looks something like:
it includes such features as: master detail tables with synchronization; column sort; run time column manipulation: resize, reposition and hide/show; popup with detailed context data; data driven, synchronized chart; accordion for better page real estate usage.
OOW Presentation: Optimal Use of Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Database 11g for Modern Application Development

I just completed my second presentation here at Oracle Open World. It discusses Application Development inside and with the Database, introducing and discussing quite a few trends, concepts, best practices and new or rediscovered database features. It was nice presentation to prepare and to present: fun stuff, useful too and a very receptive audience. I promised the audience to make the presentation and the demo scripts available on the weblog within the hour, so here it is. I would like to thank everyone who attended the presentation – I really appreciated the interest shown and the feedback given afterwards.
