		<description>Some small pointers that might me off interest: XQuery is the &quot;de facto&quot; standard in Oracle XMLDB since 10.2 and onwards. Berkeley DB XML has a full blown XQuery engine since half a year that also facilitates the XQuery update syntax (XMLDB doesn&#039;t, yet). XMLDIFF is, as (PL/)SQL, available in the Oracle XMLDB realm since 11.1 and can be used for more stuff than XML only ;-). And by the way, at current state, the &quot;XML Realm&quot; is dominated / ruled by the developer anyway. I don&#039;t think that that there are a lot of DBA people out there that understand the implications of XML handling, in memory or in the database.</description>
