Interesting presentation, thanks a lot for sharing. In my experience, types are also very useful for wrapping existing PL/SQL functionality. Surprisingly powerful abstractions are possible this way, for example closures (on top of dbms_sql):Â http://unclechrisblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/closures-in-plsql.html
