Hi,
This article was very informative and useful for me thanks. I've recently tried to implement a similar dynamic region example only this time as part of a page template. In this case I am seemingly required to place the TFHandler bean in backingBeanScope - which appears to prevent the cancel Popup method functioning correctly. Do you have any suggestions how I might overcome this please?
Thanks, Andrew.

Hi Andreas,

Â

Thanks for your comments. Recently on the ADF EMG forum an interesting thread was started on this same topic. Around that time, not related to the ADF EMG, I had a conversation on this requirement with Frank Nimphius from the ADF Product Management team. Some ideas are shaping up and early next year we will continue this conversation and more concrete proposals are bound to be the result of that.

Hi,
thanks for working this topic up in such detailed manner - even with a literature analysis. Really useful!
According to your standardization idea "taskflow contract" it would be great to file an ER or even propose this to the JSF 2.2+ EG. As far as I know taskflow concept is subject for the next spec release with great influence from ADF Taskflow concepts. Supposedly not in that richness like it is in ADF right now but for sure the basiscs and hopefully fragment based BTFs.
Also as CDI gains more and more importance in Java EE, I would like to see CDI Events instead of ADF Contextual Events. The last ones are just to specific/appropriate from a standardization point of view and not widely used (I think)
