Interesting write up. I think customers have to think long and hard about their reasons for migrating and what they want from it. The problem with a 100% migration (which I think is mythical in anything other than emp) is that a well formed Forms application does not necessarily make a well formed J2EE application. They have different "sweet spots", and for example, they way a Forms application persists huge amount of data might not be the idea way to build a web/html application.
So, understand the reasons for migration, what you want out of it, and be prepared to consider the benefits of rearchitecting.

Yasser, I think you have the wrong blog here; I was just commenting on some Forms-to-Java migration tools that I ran across at ODTUG 2007, and sharing some of my ideas on the subject. I am not affiliated with these vendors. I suggest that you have a look at http://www.vgosoftware.com/, they have made a lot of progress on Forms-to-ADF migration since I wrote this post. Also, check out the upcoming release of JHeadstart 11g, which also takes _huge_ steps in this area.
