What do you think about IBatis? I think it is much simpler than SpringJDBC, specially when u try using dynamic SQL and setting filters using WHERE clause

Its a good article.But it lacks configuration details such as where to place xml,lib etc files. It would have been better by explaining in that way

Have a look at cached rowsets, if you want something more leightweight.
